Travel Delight Singapore Offers Transport from Singapore to Legoland

Tourists in Singapore travelling with their families usually save 1 day for a trip to Legoland Theme Park and Hello Kitty Town in Johor Bahru Malaysia. Getting the tickets is easy. After that, comes the most confusing part - how to get from Singapore to Legoland? What are the transport options available? Which is best suited for your family?

Hire a private transport service that will pick you up from your hotel lobby (or Singapore residence, if you are staying at a friend's or relative's place), bring you through the Singapore-Malaysia immigrations customs and drop you off directly at the entrance of Legoland Theme Park or Hello Kitty Town. The driver will then pick you up in the evening at the same place you alighted, to bring you safely back to Singapore.

Private transport is most suitable for group of 4 people and above. It is also a popular transport choice for families with children and elderly people who need the convenience of door to door pick up services, and of breezing throught the Singapore-Malaysia immgration customs without having to alight the vehicle to queue up and get their passports chopped. Transport fees start from SGD 100 for a single trip and SGD 200 for a return trip.

Option 2 (the second best option)

Take a coach that departs from and returns to a central pick up point in Singapore. You may choose to board your coach at either Golden Mile Complex or Singapore Flyer, whichever is most convenient to access from your hotel. Coach transport, with return (2-way) tickets selling at SGD 20 on weekdays, SGD 25 on weekends and SGD 30 on Singapore public holidays, is a much cheaper option as compared to private transport, if your travel group is a small one that doesn't justify the cost of chartering a private vehicle. 

Coach transport is a popular choice for students and budget travellers who have tight purse strings and do not mind sacrificing a bit of comfort and time for the cost savings.

Option 3 (the not so popular option)

Although possible, taking public transport from Singapore to Legoland is not a popular option as it is can be dangerous, especially when travelling back from Legoland to Singapore at night. Security is a major issue in Malaysia. It is easy to tell tourists apart from locals, and getting mugged on taxis and public buses is such a common sighting that people do not take a second glance. Furthermore, if you get lost or board the wrong bus, there is no telling where you might end up.

If you are a daring backpacker with a super tight budget and looking for adventure, you can board cross border taxis and public buses at Kranji MRT station and Queens Street bus terminal at Bugis MRT station.
